Some Sun Gold’s
We only planted two tomato variety’s this year (1 each),Sun Gold’s & Cherry Tomatoes. Both have had awesome yields so far! Yesterday, after picking a bowl full tomato’s I decided to roast them up (cause there was no way I could eat that many fresh ones, and Sun Gold’s don’t make the best salsa). I didn’t dream this idea up myself either, last week I found a fun new blog that talked about just how good Sun Gold’s are roasted (http://www.MakeGrowGather.com)! So, I thought what the heck, let’s give it a try! Here is the before roasting picture (can you find the green one that made it in by accident? Ooops).

They were amazing!! In just 4 short hours, I had delicious morsels of Sun Gold goodness! Henceforth, the lack of after picture! They are soooo sweet, chewy, roastie good (note: apparently roastie/roasty isn’t a word… to bad)!
In the middle of the tomato roasting festival, I also preped some pie dough, and then made a late night dinner quiche! Yum Yum Yum…. Oven Roasted Sun Gold’s with Leeks and Cheve Goat Cheese… Can’t beat that!
