A doll without a face.

Monday, December 7th, 2009

I think there is a Billy Idol song, that is similar to the title of this post. Weird. Anyway.

The doll without a face, who was created months ago, just got a face!!!

She’s a Black Apple Doll, made with the pattern shown on here on Martha’s show.  She’s Etta’s first handmade doll, occasionally she sparks a little interest, but not really a hit.

However, now that I’ve given her a face, maybe she’ll be the hit of the party!?! Who knows, I might even make her some clothes!

Here she is (no name yet, maybe you have a suggestion?), resting with Java.

She’s quite mischievous, here she is with her hand caught “in the cookie jar” (aka the pantry).

She’s a little rough around the edges, we had some MAJOR hair issues… I think her head shrunk an inch just by trying to attach the felt hair! Oy Vey!

Mr. Frost

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Mr. Frost has visited us. Or as my co-workers call it “freezing fog”! To sum it down into a nutshell… It’s COLD!

Highlights of this week include:

1-Washing Machine Broke-Etta’s gone from cloth to disposables (during this crisis, and it is a crisis, when you have a household of 3 and a half!!!).

2-Crazy Daze at work, busy finalizing clinical placements, no time to eat, breathe, or blog during this craziness.

3-Mr. Frost.

4-Thanksgiving Festivities conclude, Monday with a Margarita dinner party for the family (all 9 of us), enchilada casserole & much juggling.

5-Recovery from the very lovely, long weekend.

6-Pretty in Pink - 2 night marathon (so glorious).

Here is what Mr Frost left behind in his wake….
